Caesar salad with a Furlani Twist

Yields: 4 Servings

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 1 large Romaine lettuce
  • Caesar salad dressing (homemade or store bought)
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, shaved
  • 1/4 cup bacon bits

Directions

  1. Wash, dry, and chop up Romaine lettuce into 1 inch pieces.
  2. Pour on the Caesar salad dressing and top with shaved Parmesan cheese and bacon bits.
  3. For the Furlani twist, pair it with our garlic Parmesan breadsticks instead of croutons.

 

Guacamole

Yields: 4 servings

Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/3 cup red onion, diced
  • 1 Roma tomato, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced (optional)

Directions

  1. Scoop out the avocado into a large bowl and mash with a fork.
  2. Add the lime juice, onion, tomato, garlic, cilantro, salt, and pepper and mix it all together.
  3. For a little kick to your guacamole, add the jalapeno pepper.
  4. Serve with Furlani Tex Mex knots

Tip: Store in an airtight container to avoid oxidation and place in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

 

Mixed Vegetables

This is an alternative recipe idea to bruschetta.

Yields: 4 Servings

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ red bell pepper, sliced
  • ½ yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small package cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • Basil and Italian herbs for garnish

Directions

  • Place a pan or skillet on medium heat with olive oil.
  • Sauté the yellow and red bell peppers for until tender, around 8 minutes. Toss in the cherry tomatoes for another 2 minutes.
  • Place a spoonful of the mixed vegetables on warm Basil Pesto Soft Rolls, prepared according to package instructions. Sprinkle with Italian herbs and basil to garnish (optional).
